

Dons Host Santa Clara Wednesday
Men's tennis to open home slate at 2 p.m. at the Olympic Club
(San Francisco,CA) - The USF men's tennis team will open the home slate of the 2009 spring season Wednesday as they host West Coast Conference rival Santa Clara at the Olympic Club in San Francisco at 2 p.m. The Dons (0-4 overall, 0-1 vs. WCC foes) are looking for their first victory of the spring.
San Francisco was ranked as high as 67th nationally this season, before falling out of the polls this week. The Dons are in search of their first victory after dropping decisions to Portland, then-No. 34 Washington, nationally-ranked opponents UNLV and Nebraska.
The match with the Dons will be the second of the season for Santa Clara. In their lone match of the season, the Broncos posted a 6-1 victory over UC Santa Cruz, who is ranked fourth in NCAA Division III.
Following the contest with Santa Clara, San Francisco will hit the road to face No. 45 Arizona in Tucson.
