


Men's tennis defeats Gonzaga 6-1

(San Francisco) USF men's tennis captured its third straight victory Friday afternoon as the Dons earned a 6-1 victory over Gonzaga at the Cal Club. With the victory, San Francisco improves to 3-5 for the spring.
San Francisco got off to a strong start, sweeping the doubles point before continuing the momentum into singles play. The Dons won five of six singles matches in straight sets, while dropping No. 4 in three. Tommy Tu earned a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 1, while Asaf Cohen earned a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 Rainer Nachbauer captured USF a point at No. 3 with a 6-4 6-3 victory and Einar Hart was victorious at No. 4, 6-0 6-0. Rounding out victories for the Dons was a 6-3, 6-3 victory at No. 6 for Jacob Hartwig.
USF will now hit the road, traveling to Hawai'i next weekend for a pair of matches.
