


Dons face St. Mary's Gaels, No. 46 California Bears this weekend

(San Francisco,CA) - USF men's tennis will host a pair of matches at Pebble Beach this weekend as it hosts West Coast Conference rival Saint Mary's and nationally-ranked No. 46 California. Saturday, the Dons (4-7) will face the Gaels at 1 p.m. before matching up with the Bears Sunday at 1 p.m.
San Francisco heads into the weekend fresh off of a 7-0 victory over Northern Colorado in which the Dons won all the singles contests in straight sets. USF was paced by Tommy Tu, who is ranked as the 122nd singles player in the nation, who won his sixth straight singles match.
In doubles play, the Dons are led by Tu and Asaf Cohen. The duo has an unscratched 6-0 record this spring as USF's top doubles team. Also anchoring USF's doubles efforts are Einar Hart and Rainer Nachbauer, who are 5-1 in doubles action, including going 3-0 when playing at the No. 1 or 2 spot.
Following the matches this weekend, San Francisco will hit the road for its only away competition in a series of eight matches, as it travels to Eugene to face Oregon on March 28.
