Dons Fall In Close Match To Ducks

(Eugene, Ore.) San Francisco men's tennis dropped a closely battled match to Oregon, 4-3, Saturday in Eugene, Ore. After singles play, the match was tied 3-3, but the Dons were unable to secure the doubles point, falling to the Ducks.

In singles play, No. 122 Tommy Tu continued his strong senior campaign, garnering a straight set 6-3, 6-1 win at the top spot. Asaf Cohen and Einar Hart joined Tu in earning singles points. Cohen earned a victory at No. 3 after falling behind early but rallying for a 4-6, 6-3, 6-1 win. At No. 4, Hart dropped the first set 6-7, but fought back to win 6-7, 6-4, 6-4 and earn the point.

Doubles play decided the match as the Ducks took the No. 1 and 2 spots to secure the win. The Dons' lone doubles victory came at No. 3, as Hart and Nachbauer posted an 8-2 win.
