

Men's Tennis to play Broncos Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the Olympic Club

(San Francisco,CA) - Wednesday the USF Men's Tennis team will host rival Santa Clara at the Olympic Club at 1 p.m. The match is a make-up match for a meeting between the Dons and Broncos that had been previously scheduled for February 11, but was rescheduled due to inclement weather.
San Francisco enters Wednesday's contest looking to improve on a 5-10 overall mark, including going 3-2 against West Coast Conference foes. In their last outing, the Dons snapped a three-match losing streak with a 4-3 victory over WCC opponent Loyola Marymount.
Tommy Tu continues to pace the Dons' singles efforts, boasting a 103rd national ranking and a 10-5 dual match record. The senior is also a perfect 5-0 against conference opponents. In his last 10 matches, Tu has posted an impressive 9-1 mark.
In doubles action, the duos of Asaf Cohen and Tu, as well as Einar Hart and Rainer Nachbauer continue to be a threat for the Green and Gold. Cohen and Tu lead the way with an 8-2 mark, all at the No. 1 spot, including an unscathed 4-0 mark in league action. Hart and Nachbauer have compiled a 7-3 mark and have won their past two.
Following the match with Santa Clara, the Dons will host one final home contest Saturday, April 11 against UCSC at 1 p.m. at the Cal Club. The match will also mark Senior Day, as the Dons honor three seniors - Tu, Cohen and Torin Ching.
